Americans have a deep respect for their fellow citizens who serve in the military. Especially in wartime, we hold our service men and women in our highest esteem and wish the best for them when they leave the service and return to civilian life. However, as we know, picking up where one left off before military service can prove challenging, if not heartbreaking. Many veterans need assistance, but don’t know where to find it or are reluctant to seek it.

That’s why a committee of Dubuque-area veterans, veterans groups and community agencies, in association with the Veterans Administration, is proud to invite you to participate in a special, family oriented event designed for veterans, by veterans. “All the Way Home: The Tri-State Veterans Conference” is designed to showcase programs and services designed for veterans’ unique needs. Punctuated by nationally recognized guest speakers Rocky Bleier (Vietnam veteran and former Pittsburgh Steeler) and Charlie Plumb (former POW), the conference will give voice to the many issues veterans face.

On Saturday, May 17, we’re turning the Five Flags Center into Vets Central. You can help us make this important event a reality by sponsoring the proceedings. The attached materials provide event details, our Case Statement, and Sponsorship Opportunities.
